Eckhart Tolle Stillness Group

To be conscious of Being, you need to reclaim consciousness from the mind. This is the most essential tasks on your spiritual journey
Eckhart Tolle

Sally facilitates an Eckhart Tolle Stillness group in Leeds every week

Sharing stillness and Eckhart's teachings is a very powerful practice, joining with like minded people in presence feels to amplify the experience of being together in the now. Indeed Eckhart Tolle said "... But if you are fortunate enough to find someone who is intensely conscious, if you can be with them and join them in the state of presence, that can be helpful and will accelerate things. In this way your own light will quickly grow stronger. When a log that has only just started to burn is placed next to one that is burning fiercely, and after a while they are separated again, the first log will be burning with much greater intensity. After all it is the same fire ..."

Format for the Evening

Not to be able to stop thinking is a dreadful affliction, but we don't realise this because almost everyone is suffering from it, so it is considered normal. this incessant mental noise prevents you from finding that realm of inner stillness that is inseperable from Being
Eckhart Tolle

We begin with a short 10 minute silent meditation to settle in, then watch about 45 minutes of video/DVD of an Eckhart talk or retreat

There is then a longer period of silent meditation (around 30 minutes). At the end those who wish join together in a circle to really experience the energy of shared stillness

At the end of the evening those who wish to can just take the stillness with them ...... others may choose to stay and chat.

Being together in a state of presence is a very powerful practice and it feels right for everyone to choose what feels right for them. It is so different from most social gatherings where people feel they have to "make conversation" ...... this is all about being our true selves without judgement. In fact this offers a unique experience!
